This wine’s first impression is based on attractive aromas of pepper and licorice, evolving towards red fruit after agitation. The palate shows a harmonious marriage of charm and firmness based on soft, ripe, and very smooth tannins.
Overall, there is an expression of refined elegance which demonstrates winemaking with an eye on balance.
The spicy Cabernet aromas and the oak-barrel vanilla pair well to produce a delicate sensation of freshness. At this stage of its development Cantemerle 2008 gives full expression to its terroir, in a classic style which perfectly suits it. Should be decanted one hour before service.
