Doubtless one of the Bordeaux area's most beautiful parks, the grounds cover 28 hectares where, once again, each era has left its mark. Drives cut across parkland to a strict plan dating from the 18th century. A hundred years later, Louis-Bernard Fischer, the great botanist who laid out the Jardin Public in Bordeaux, redesigned the park and the area adjoining the château.
A botanical fairyland, the grounds of Cantemerle contain many rare species. The romantic charm of the lake only adds to the extraordinary magic of the estate.
